Oliver HAMPE announced and introduced a new publication series,,the first issues of which were produced last year. The second volume is to be published in November of this year. It is a reviewed publication. At present one volume is to be produced per year; however, the frequency may increase in the future. Participants at the meeting were invited to submit papers. The journal deals with all aspects of geology, palaeontology and mineralogy. Oliver has sent 150 copies to libraries, and flyers are available. The journal may be purchased directly from the publisher, Wiley, and manuscripts should be sent to Gloria Arratia.
