Excursion (Afternoon, May 5, 2006)

An afternoon visit to the Elk Island National Park located approximately 1 hour east of Edmonton city centre on Highway 16 is planned. Explore and enjoy the wilderness of this aspen parkland along its many trails, both paved and unpaved. This site is famous for its herds of free roaming plains bison, wood bison, moose, deer and elk. This park also boasts over 250 species of birds. However, be aware that in early May, the trails could still be wet and muddy, and the weather cool.

Banquet and Silent Auction at the Winspear Dinning Room, U of A Faculty Club (Evening, May 5, 2006)

Enjoy the view of the North Saskatchewan River valley and the downtown Edmonton skyline in one of the best dinning facilities in town. The silent auction is for our newest section - Comparative Morphology and Development, so your hearty support will be greatly appreciated.
