- Ron Koss (technician) is an outstanding invertebrate biologist
- 2) PRE-REQUISITES: Biol 108
- 3) TEXTBOOK & READINGS:
- textbook is wonderfully engaging (copies will be on reserve)
- some reading required (will be listed on lecture outlines & web)
- only need to know terms from lectures & lab guide
- "correct" classification is that used in the textbook

- 5) LABORATORY:
- *** THERE WILL BE LABS THIS WEEK! *** (Tuesday lab sections are to meet Thursday evening, 7 - 8:30)
- must purchase lab guide ($4) (see technician during first lab)
- 6) EXAMS / MARKS:
- two lecture exams: midterm (20%), final (35% cumulative)
- exam format: mix of multiple choice, terms, short answer
- lab quizzes (three at 5% each) and final (20%)
- annotated bibliography (see lab guide for full details; 10%)
- NO deferred midterm exams (make based on remaining exams)
- cheating (sigh)
