A paper by one of your TAs (Marjan Barazandeh) has just been published in Proceedings of the Royal Society: Biological Sciences. It has received quite a bit of media coverage (e.g., Nature, Science, National Geographic) because it shows, for the first time, that barnacles can capture sperm from the water.
You can see supporting pictures and videos, and follow the links to the many news stories and the original publication at:

Please submit the electronic version of your annotated bibliographies here.
Remember, though, to receive credit for your submission, you must also submit a paper copy (along with photocopies of required pages of the papers as noted in the Z250 lab guide) to your TA in your lab section during the week of April 2 (Echinoderm lab).

The Zool250 mid-term lecture exam on FRIDAY, MARCH 1 will be held in three different rooms to give people more space to spread out during the exam. The two additional rooms in the Biological Sciences Building (BS B121 and BS M229) are quite close to the current lecture room (BS M145). Students have been assigned to rooms based on the first letter of their last name.
So, on the morning of the exam, please go directly to the following rooms:
| Go to room | If the first letter of your last name (=family name = surname) starts with: | |
| BioSci M229 | A to C | |
| BioSci B121 | D to H | |
| BioSci M145 | I to Z |
MATERIAL TO BE COVERED ON THE EXAM: All material covered in lecture up through and including Wed. Feb. 27.
