About the CSZ Online Store Description of goods and services offered At the CSZ Online Store you can join or renew your membership in the Canadian Society of Zoologists, order NRC Research Press journals at Society member rates, and make a donation to the Zoological Education Trust. During some years you may register for the annual conference of the CSZ using this site; in other years you may be redirected to another site chosen by our local organizing committee to handle registrations. Currency used for transactions All of our items are listed in Canadian dollars, and transactions will be made in Canadian currency.
The Online Store accepts only credit card payments by Visa or MasterCard. If you wish to pay by cheque or money order, or mail in your credit card payment information, please download a membership form and mail the completed form and your payment by postal service to the address on the form. Security After entering basic information about your order on these pages, you will be directed to the eSelect Plus Secure Payment Page of Moneris Solutions, which includes a security method for the transmission of payment data (SSL Secured 128 bit), for entry of your credit card information. Delivery standards Your Online Store offers products and services that are normally delivered over the internet. However, items that must be delivered physically will be shipped via Canada Post, in which case shipping charges will be included in the total price. The NRC Research Press publishes journals such as the Canadian Journal of Zoology and the Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, and offers subscriptions at special rates to members of Canadian scientific societies if they subscribe through their society. If you order an NRC Research Press journal through the Canadian Society of Zoologists, we will mail your order to the NRC Research Press once we have verified that you have paid appropriate membership dues and that your payment has been received. Information on journals and customer service may be found at the NRC Research Press web site. Refund/Return Policy All payment of membership dues to the Canadian Society of Zoologists is final. If you pay membership dues more than once for the same year, we will contact you and offer to extend your membership for additional years, or refund your dues less a $10.00 handling charge. The notice of membership renewal that you receive from the Secretary will indicate the expiry date of your current membership. All donations made to the Zoological Education Trust are final once we have mailed the tax receipt, which is usually done within two weeks of receipt of the donation but may be done sooner. Prior to that, a refund may be considered if the donation was made in error or if there are exigent circumstances, solely at the discretion of the Canadian Society of Zoologists. A handling charge of $10.00 will apply to all refunds. All orders for NRC Research Press journals placed through us are final once we have mailed your order to the Press, which is usually done within two weeks of receipt of your order but may be done sooner. Prior to that, a refund may be considered if the order was made in error or if there are exigent circumstances, solely at the discretion of the Canadian Society of Zoologists. A handling charge of $10.00 will apply to all refunds. Normally, payment of conference registration fees is final. The local organizing committee of each year's conference may set a schedule of partial refunds for cancellation of registration, and associated handling charges, which will be posted on the Register for the annual conference instruction page. If you believe that an error has been made by the Canadian Society of Zoologists in processing your order, submit a claim in writing to the Treasurer providing details and supporting documentation. If we are satisfied that we have made an error, we will issue a refund and not assess a handling charge.
