A field excursion was also held in 1995, jointly with the Subcommission on Devonian Stratigraphy (SDS) (with which IGCP has cooperated closely), to Devonian and Carboniferous localities and type sections in northeastern France and southwestern Belgium. In addition to the annual meetings of IGCP 328, smaller working groups get together frequently and symposia are held at numerous paleontological and geological conferences around the world.
