"SAFE BOATING COURSE"

(A CANADIAN COAST GUARD ACCREDITED PROGRAM)

The Course: The University of Alberta is very safety conscious and encourages all members to attend safety courses to upgrade their skills. This one day "SAFE BOATING COURSE" is designed for undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty members who use water craft for their research and education activities. On passing the test at the end of the day you will receive a Pleasure Craft Operator's Card that is issued by the Canadian Coast Guard. The Card is valid for a lifetime.

When: 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, April 13, 2002. All day parking available in Parking Lot "E" (cost is $2.00). Bring your bag lunch; cafeteria also available in nearby building.

Where: 236 Earth Sciences Building, University of Alberta

Cost: $75.00 + GST = $80.25. Make cheques payable to: Alberta'a First Boating Program Inc.

Registration:
The number of participants of this "SAFE BOATING COURSE" is limited to 25 on a first-come-first-served basis. Send your name, mail and email addresses as well as telephone number to alex.drummond@ualberta.ca and by April 05. Then deliver the course fee by cash or cheque (payable to "Alberta's First Boating Program, Inc.") to the Department of Renewable Resources, 751 General Services Building. On payment of the fee you will receive the course manual/resources.
