B.1 General Responsibilities of the Student

Graduate students should take responsibility for their own programs by becoming familiar with University and DBS regulations relating to their degree program as set out in the University Calendar and in this Manual, respectively. Students are ultimately responsible for meeting deadlines related to registration, payment of fees, FGSR ethics training, submitting appropriate forms and applications to the DBS, etc., and maintaining the progress of the research in accordance with stages agreed with the supervisor/supervisory committee. They should take the initiative in raising problems or difficulties, then sharing responsibility for seeking solutions. They should take responsibility for producing the final copies of the thesis, its content, and ensuring that it is in accord with the relevant requirements, including the standard of presentation.
