Students choose one of these six research areas or Biological Sciences as their designated area
of research. Our indvidually tailored thesis-based programs emphasize research excellence,
interdisciplinary thinking and interactions in an enriched learning environment. Students are
encouraged to publish and participate in seminars, grant writing, manuscript reviews and writing
of teaching materials. Funding is available for travel to conferences and meetings nationally and
internationally.
