Biological Sciences Recruitment Subsidy Faculty members are limited to a maximum of one recruitment subsidy per year. The subsidy maximum is $500. Potential student should have excellent qualifications. |

Registration: A graduate student should consult with his/her supervisor prior to selecting courses for the incoming year. The following document is provided at the department orientation to assist students with registration. Specific details on how to maintain a full-time registration as well as thesis section registration are included. |

Ethics: A minimum of 8 hours in ethics training is a requirement of the graduate program. |

Teaching: All department graduate programs have a teaching assistantship requirement. |

A student may apply for financial subsidy for travel to conferences from 3 sources. Each may be requested only once during a program, so plan carefully. They may be combined for one trip. Application must be made before the travel. | |

Bio Sci Travel Form The subsidy is valued at a maximum of $300 per student. Presentation (oral or poster) required. |
|
|
FGSR Travel Award Application This trip should involve attending a major national or international research gathering where you must be actively participating by presenting a paper or poster session. |
|
|
GSA Professional Development Grant Application The PDG, provided from the AEGS fund, allows graduate students to participate in professional development activities such as conferences, research trips, courses, etc. |
