Jesse Hitchcock (undergraduate) - email@example.com
I am working with Dr. Rich Palmer and Bronwyn Williams in the Proctor lab to examine how morphological variation is spatially distributed throughout the range of the Northern Crayfish (Orconectes virilis). By quantifying how the morphological variation is apportioned spatially, I hope to supplement molecular work that is currently being done (Bronwyn Williams) and offer insight into historical processes such as range expansion and more recent introductions. Several of the characters I am measuring also offer important information pertaining to the life histories and/or taxonomy of the group. I will complete my B.Sc. in the fall of 2011 and plan on pursuing an M.Sc. so that I can continue living the glamorous student life and studying the impressiveness that is evolution!
CONGRATULATIONS TO JESSE ON BEING ACCEPTED INTO A FALL 2012 M.SC. PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND!
