Objectives

The Parasitism, Immunity and Environment Section of the Canadian Society of Zoologists (CSZ) was established in 2011 to provide a venue for interchange among individuals interested in the interrelationships at all levels among infectious agents, the response of animals to these agents, and the environment in which these relationships exist.

The PIE Section represents an evolution of the Parasitology Section of the Canadian Society of Zoologists, which was established in 1974 to promote and advance the study of parasitic organisms and facilitate the exchange of information among parasitologists in Canada.
