Posterior end of female Moniliformis

Ovarian balls, which are fragments of ovary, circulate freely within the ligament sac and liberate eggs that have become fertilized. Final egg membranes are deposited while the eggs float freely, and the eggs are not ready for release until all the memberanes are deposited. The uterine bell collects circulating eggs and passes them to the selector apparatus, a group of cells that form passages of various sizes which direct immature eggs back to the ligament sacs, for further development, and developed eggs into the uterus for release. Copulatory plugs are deposited by males after mating and may persist for some time.
