Silent Fright
Join the Friends of Rutherford House Society for a Dinner and a Movie fundraiser on Saturday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. The theme is "Nosferatu" and tickets at $45 per person include a three course meal, the silent classic "Nosferatu, snacks and service from some very interesting characters. All proceeds go toward the continued operation and development of the Rutherford House society's services. To reserve your place, call 422-2697.
 
Run Wild for Wildlife
The Running Room and the Wildlife Reabilitation Society of Edmonton are hosting a Hallowe'en Fun Run (5 km run and 2.5 km walk) on Sunday, October 29, starting at 5 p.m. at Hawrelak Park. Healthy Workplace Week
October 23 - 27 is Canada's Healthy Workplace Week and this year's theme is "Make a Difference in Your Workplace". It's about celebrating what is going right in your area and learning about what can be done to make things better. Health Promotion and WorkLife Services will be promoting this theme throughouthe next year and they would like to know if you have any innovative or positive practices happening in your workplace: e-mail sarah.flower@hrs.ualberta.ca.

5th Annual Alberta Health & Safety Conference & Trade Fair

International Week 2007
The University of Alberta's International Week 2007 will be held January 29 - February 2.  International Week raises awareness about global issues in the campus and wider Edmonton communities and is a means to profile the University community's engagement in these issues. This year's theme is "Beyond Terror: The Real Weapons of Mass Destruction" featuring keynote speaker, Ronald Wright, author of A Short History of Progress (CBC Massey lectures 2004).
