Annual Beer and Pizza Party

As fall approaches, so does our annual "Welcome New Staff and Students Beer and Pizza Party". Our annual celebration will be on Friday, September 5th 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in CW 410 & 422. Come welcome all our "newbies" and celebrate the friendships (new and old) in the department. EVERYONE IS WELCOMED.

Volunteers will be needed to help pick up the kegs, serve beer, sell tickets, set-up, clean-up and serve as security.  If you can spare an hour, please let Maggie know (mag.haag@ualberta.ca). Also, donations of salads and desserts would be most welcome. Most of all, please come out and give a Bio Sci welcome to all our new graduate students and staff.

 

ONEcard Programming
ONEcard Programming is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10th.
If you are a new student or staff please bring your ONEcard to CW405 on September 10, by 10:00 a.m. Your ONEcard will be programmed the same day and you will be able to pick it up by 3:30 p.m.

New Staff in Animal Services
Biosciences Animal Service welcomes a new office administrator, Ed Bailey. Contact Ed for your animal orders, supplies, protocol concerns or to learn more about us. Drop by CW401 to meet Ed. With 22 years experience in office administration and technology Ed is happy to contribute to the Animal Service team. Email ebbailey@ualberta, phone 2-5358.

Animal Care and Use Committee for Biosciences (ACUC-Bio)
Next meeting is Thursday, September 18. Please submit any new applications for animal use or annual reports by Wednesday, September 10.

APO, FSO and Librarian Award & Support Staff Recognition Award
