Today! Biology Graduate Students Association Holiday Potluck
All BioSci Graduate Students and Staff are invited to the BGSA Holiday Potluck on Friday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m. in CW 422 (Cafeteria). Just bring a salad, main dish, casserole, or dessert to share and enjoy!

I was pleased with the response within the department. Thanks to all who pledged. I have some images on a digital camera and will forward at least one. The Kids With Cancer folks gave everyone who got shaved a touque. I wear it under my big Cowichan knit and my head feels no different from before. I spent a lot of time outside on the weekend tracking animals and stayed warm. Cheers,

Silent Auction
There are some fantastic items showing up in CW 405 for the Silent Auction - many of them are on display now. This year we have quite a few electronics as well as some really interesting collectibles, not to mention some really wonderful hand-crafted donations. Mark your calendar and join us from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. in CW 410 for a Christmas Social while the Auction is underway. Looking to minimize your life? Got gifts gathering dust in your closet? Are you an artist, crafter, artisan, baker, chef, or do you have some special skill that someone would pay to use? Please see Deanne in CW 405 to donate your goods or services - all proceeds go to the Youth Emergency Shelter Society. If you need a letter to give to a business or other organisation for your donation, please see Deanne. Last year we raised over $2,000 for YESS and hope to do the same again this year, with your help.
Important Payroll Notice
In preparation for the 2006 taxation year end, please do the following:
Return all undeliverable cheques to Staff and Student Payments before December 15, 2006.
Advise your staff to confirm and update their addresses in "My Personal Information" through Bear Tracks (T4 information will be sent to the address on record).
Submit outstanding Social Insurance Numbers to Sherron Becker in CW 405.
