Tenure Track Position in Microbiology
The Department of Biology at the
University of
Regina invites applications for a tenure-track microbiologist at the Assistant Professor level, effective July 1, 2009. We are seeking an individual who uses state-of-the-art molecular methods in his/her microbiology research program. Candidates must have a PhD and a productive research record; postdoctoral experience is an asset. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to quality teaching, academic excellence and the development of a vigorous, externally-funded research program. Start-up research funds will be provided, as well as a reduced teaching load in the first two years. The candidate will be invited to help design their laboratory in the newly-constructed laboratory building (http://www.uregina.ca/campusgrowth/projects/current/lab.shtml).
Candidates with clinically-related research programs will benefit from the construction of the new on-campus home of the Saskatchewan Disease Control Laboratory (http://www.health.gov.sk.ca/lab), which has close links to the Department of Biology.
