Student Positions

Term or year-long projects are available for motivated undergraduates. Previous experience in molecular biology, cell biology, or histology is an advantage. Openings for undergraduate research positions will be posted.

Applications for Graduate Study will be considered throughout the year, although to be qualified for U of A teaching support students need to apply to the department by March 1st. Departmental admission requirements and application details are available through the Graduate program website

Students with a strong academic record should apply for an Alberta Ingenuity or NSERC Scholarship: If interested please see the websites below for details and contact Sally as soon as possible with proposal of a project within one of our current research areas or with a new proposal of your own

PostDocs

I welcome applications from talented and motivated postdoctoral candidates with relevant experience in molecular biology, cell biology, computational biology, evolution, and microbial ecology. Postdocs can expect an enthusiastic and collegial/collaborative lab, and excellent opportunities for learning and exchange of knowledge.

Please provide a cover letter, pdfs of all papers published and in press, and three letters of recommendation to Sally (sleys@ualberta.ca).
