PROJECT: Development and expression of chimeric constructs to examine the signaling potential of inhibitory catfish leukocyte immune-type receptors encoding immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs)

PROJECT: Together with Dr. Carlyle we are taking advantage of the BWZ reporter assay for the identification of cellular ligands that interact with the extracellular domains of selected catfish leukocyte immune-type receptors (IpLITRs). Identification of IpLITR ligands will be a major advancement in our present understanding of this large polymorphic family of innate immunoregulatory receptors belonging to the IgSF.
