Current Research Interests

My research centers on understanding the cumulative ecological impacts of human activities on boreal forest biodiversity and using GIS to spatially model these effects. Recent research focuses on: 1) behavioral, population, and community responses of boreal forest birds to energy sector development; 2) development of biotic and abiotic ecological indicators for detecting cumulative effects thresholds; and 3) anthropogenic factors influencing the invasion potential of boreal forest landscapes by non-native species and the consequences of invasion to native taxa.
