Responsibilities as Senior Associate Dean (Student Services)

·         I oversee all aspects of undergraduate programming in the Faculty of Science, including academic standards, admission standards, disciplinary matters, and all academic appeals related to admissions, graduation and academic standing

·         I serve as the Faculty of Science’s representative on the GFC Academic Standards Committee (ASC) as well as the ASC Subcommittee on Standards

·         I am a member of the Fall Reading Week Task Force, the Transfer Credit Task Force and the International Student Support Task Force

·         I am a member of the University Writing Committee

 

Teaching

·         MICRB 410: Bacterial Structure and Virulence Factors.  I team teach this course with Dr. Mario Feldman. Building on my long time research interests on antibiotics, I cover the section of the course dealing with cell wall structure, antibiotic resistance and cell division.
