The Biological Survey of Canada (Terrestrial Arthropods) has had a presence on the World Wide Web for a little over a year now. The site has information on:

• The roles and responsibilities of the Survey
• A brief description of current scientific projects
• A list of publications and how to order them
• The structure of the Survey including names and addresses of the Survey’s advisory Scientific Committee
• A short description of the Biological Survey Foundation
• Complete versions of this newsletter [available since the Fall 1997 (Vol. 16(2)) issue]
• A description of the publication Insects of the Yukon and ordering information

. The site is housed on the University of Alberta’s server in conjunction with the Entomological Society of Canada. Suggestions for additions are welcome and should be sent to the Secretariat

Insects of Canada on the Web

A booklet introducing the insect fauna of Canada was prepared by the Survey for the XVIIIth International Congress of Entomology which was held in Vancouver in 1988. This information has now been adapted for posting on the World Wide Web. The site summarizes general features of the country as well as the taxonomic composition and ecological relationships of its insects. Specific sections deal with:
