The Biotron is managed by a group of friendly and dedicated staff with specific training to ensure the facility is operating at optimum working conditons. The Biotron staff includes a horticulturist, taxonomic botanist, electronic technician, aquatic technologist, journeyman electrician, and a refrigeration mechanic. The Operations Engineer, Glen Law, consults and implements policy set forth by the Biotron Committee.
The facility is equipped with alarms and the operation is monitered 24 hours a day by a central computerized system. The Biotron staff responses to all alarms on a 24 hours basis. The facility is routinely upgraded and maintained according to a preventive maintainence schedule.
