ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is at Banff Centre perched on Tunnel Mountain with excellent view of the town and surrounding mountains. Founded in 1933 by the University of Alberta, Department of Extension, with a grant from the U.S. based Carnegie Foundation, The Banff Centre began with a single course in drama. Today, the Banff Centre is a place for creative excellence, providing one-of-kind professional development and learning opportunities in the arts, leadership development, and mountain culture. It is a centre of innovation, opportunity, and exploration unlike any other in the world.

A conference meal package is included in the cost of the standard BCID – Banff Centre Accommodation Package. This includes breakfast and lunch buffet style meals in the penthouse Vistas Dining Room, prepared by staff under the direction of award-winning executive chef Beat Hegnauer. Conference registrants are left free time in the afternoon / early evening to experience the many fine dining options in the town of Banff, or to pursue recreational activities. For those BCID participants not staying at the Banff Centre, or for spouses not registered as BCID participants, this same meal package is available.

Unless you are an invited speaker, you are responsible for making your own booking directly with the centre at Banff Conference Centre Room Reservations
