Our Mission
The
Alberta Cooperative Conservation Research Unit (ACCRU) is a multi-institutional
research and learning centre. The goal of the centre is to generate
and communicate reliable scientific knowledge and technologies that
will drive effective stewardship and wise use of wildlife and fisheries
resources.
Research:
ACCRU scientists are committed to developing and conducting world-class
research designed in collaboration with unit partners to manage
fish and wildlife wisely.
Training: ACCRU facilitates educational opportunities for
graduate students and professional development for wildlife and
fisheries managers and planners required to address resource management
challenges of the future.
Technical and administrative assistance: ACCRU provides technical
assistance to university and other ACCRU researchers for administrative
support of field research, as well as equipment in support of field
studies
